Da Bears!
Wow, the Bears are going to the Superbowl!!!!!!!! This is huge, people! The best part about it is that the whole family can celebrate together. Aaron, being a St. Louis Cardinals fan and I being a die hard Cubs fan can never agree on baseball. I was just slightly happy for him when the Cardinals won the World Series last year, but I could not get into it like he did of course. The Bears, however, is a different story. I remember so well watching the last time this happened, and it's so exciting to be doing it again! Aaron has converted from being a Dallas Cowboys fan to being a Bears fan. This is totally a Bears city up here. It seems like EVERYONE is a Bears fan and gets so into it. Not just when they win, either. It's like a religion.
So we made it! Bears vs Colts! It's going to be fun. We're having some friends over to enjoy the game and hopefully help to cheer the Bears to victory. Go Bears!
In other news, everyone here has been struck with a nasty cold. Poor Haley is taking it the hardest at the moment. I spent my night with her last night as the poor thing tried to sleep. She's pretty miserable. At least she doesn't mind when I wipe her nose.
Ok, nothing more for today. My brain is foggy from lack of sleep and the beginnings of a cold. However, my spirits are still bright....GO BEARS!!!! :-D

First, I hope I can help you out. On baseball, Aaron is in the right you are in the wrong. This is not a matter of opinion. It is a well known fact that Cubs fans suffer from a particularly debilitating form of delusion - as displayed by their constant optimism. Also, Sammy Sosa causes cancer in lab rats.
Fun? You think the SB will be fun? I must be in another world, because I cannot think of hardly anything that will create more anxiety than a Bears Superbowl game. I was standing from Bush's TD to the end of the first quarter of the Colts\Patriots game.

All the California Strickers will be rooting for Da Bears, too...it's very rare for a Cardinals fan to be so wishy-washy about favorite teams, but Aaron seems to have done it. What ever happened to the Cowboys?
By the way, how long until pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training?

Random (depressing) thought for the day: Either Barack or Hillary will be the next President, guaranteeing the leader of the free world will be a Cubs fan. Sigh.
If Hillary wins, at least she'll have Bill around. He grew up with Jack Buck, Harry Caray and Stan Musial. At least we'll have that.

DA BEARS!!
We will also be having a party, however it will be in Texas. Thinking we may order some Portillos online to make it a real "Chicago party". What do you mean you are all sick, I was just there Friday!
How long until we hear a new and improved Super Bowl Shuffle??

Go Bears! I am very excited about this. It sure has been making everyone a bit happier! I usually don't watch football, but when they make it this far, they desereve to even my attention!
We also have been fighting some germs, and I hope they go away rather than spreading, but that is not happening. I have this germo inside me too, and I that makes day to day functioning a bit more difficult. Wishing you all get well soon,
Joan
